Fly Tying Tarzana Body
Body with segmented sections. Tying this body is much easier
and faster than the above versions and for practical purposes it
will attract just as many fish.

OPTIONS
Varnish the tag and body sections for extra durability.
It takes longer because you need to let the varnish
dry after each step. Usually we have a couple flies
going and while the varnish is drying on one fly,
will be working on the others. It is best to use thin
varnish to avoid any build-up on the body sections.
This is what you would call "Bulletproofing the Fly"

FLY TYING HOOKS
You can use a variety of fly tying hooks and sizes
For the smoothest body it is recommended to use
a tapered loop eye style of hook. When using an
untapered loop eye hook, the proportions of the fly
have to be exact or there will be bump
